Wind energy is a relatively safe and clean renewable energy source in the world. The application of clean energy such as distributed wind energy resources to high-energy-consuming industries such as electrolytic aluminum industry, relieving the excessive dependence of high-energy-consuming industries such as electrolytic aluminum on the same power grid and the shortage of power supply in the region are undoubtedly novel and worth trying. .
After careful review, the participating experts unanimously held that after listening to questions from various quarters, they unanimously held that: “The non-segment grid wind power application of blind and dry high energy-consuming industries” is an innovative strategic vision and is a diversified development of wind power – an important direction. The experiment of non-grid-connected wind power directly applied to electrolytic aluminum production shows that non-grid-connected wind power can ensure the normal operation of the electrolytic cell under the appropriate supplement of network power. The experimental results are the first in the world.
The pilot test results are based on the principle test results of the base plant laboratory. The pilot scale has expanded the scale of the experiment and increased the content and depth of the test. The experiment shows that the wind power consumption in the test area accounts for the total power consumption of the electrolytic cell. 81%, net power is 19%, if take the necessary adjustment safeguard measures, the wind power ratio may further increase.
The simulated wind power simulated by the pilot plant is the actual wind condition data from the coast of Jiangsu Dongtai and Dabancheng of Xinjiang. It conforms to the actual conditions of natural wind power in the area and extent of power change, such as wind turbines and electrolyzers according to the characteristics of wind energy resources. It is feasible to carry out appropriate technological transformation to promote their mutual adaptation and cooperation, and use non-grid-connected wind power for industrial electrolytic aluminum production.
