New solid-state laser developed successfully in Changchun
A new type of solid-state laser, which combines light, machine and electricity, is a diode-pumped passive Q-switched YAG laser that was successfully developed and passed the expert appraisal at Changchun University of Science and Technology.
Experts believe that the research of laser diode passive Q-switched YAG laser has reached the domestic leading level, and solved the following key technologies in optical coupling, Q-switching and other technologies: self-focusing lens and hollow circular table laser fiber coupler (obtained by national invention patent) Instead of the traditional complex optical system combination, the effective space matching between the pumping light and the oscillating laser is realized, and stable single-mode operation is obtained. By controlling the electric pump injection pulse width, the initial transmission of the passive Q-switched Cr4+:YAG crystal is determined. The rate and the output mirror reflectance enable passive Q-switchable single-pulse laser output.
