Fiberboard classification

Fibreboard is generally divided into two categories, non-compressed and compressed, according to product density. The non-compressed product is a soft fiberboard with a density of less than 0.4 g/cm3; the compressed product has a medium density fiberboard (or semi-hardboard, density 0.4-0.8 g/cm3) and a hardboard (density greater than 0.8 g). /cm3). According to the slab forming process, it can be classified into a wet fiberboard, a dry fiberboard, and an oriented fiberboard. According to different post-processing methods, it can be divided into ordinary fiberboard and oil-treated fiberboard. The medium density fiberboard has a uniform structure, moderate density and strength, and good reworkability. The product has a wide range of thicknesses and has a variety of uses, such as furniture materials, housing materials for televisions, and the like. Hardboard products range in thickness from 3 to 8 mm. The high strength, 3 to 4 mm thick hard fiberboard can be used instead of 9 to 12 mm sawn timber. Used in buildings, ships, vehicles, etc.
