As the price of rebar fell, Turkish domestic scrap prices fell further, and the transaction price fell by 20-25 Turkish lb/ton to 670-755 Turkish pounds/ton from the beginning of last week.

The Turkish scrap import market is still deserted and there are no large volume deals. However, steel producers expect to continue to order scraps for July shipments soon when the rebar market is clear.
