Daily operation and maintenance of the screw pump

First, the precautions when starting

1. Before the screw pump starts, the suction and discharge valves should be fully opened.

2. When the pump is started for the first time or the pump that has been sealed for a long time is used again, the input liquid should be injected, and the pump shaft can be rotated several times by means of the auxiliary tool so that the stator is not damaged. The pump cannot start without liquid, and no liquid start can damage the stator.

3, start the motor for a moment, check the direction of rotation of the pump, confirm the direction consistent with the direction marked on the pump casing before starting operation.

4. After starting the pump, observe whether the readings of the pressure gauge and the vacuum gauge meet the requirements. Pay attention to the operating conditions of the sound and vibration of the pump. If any abnormal operation is found, check immediately.

5. During the initial start-up process, the allowable initial leakage of the packing seal (especially Teflon) should be evenly adjusted within 15 minutes of the initial start-up process. About 1/8 turn each time, adjust to the minimum amount of leakage. If the temperature of the stuffing box rises sharply and the leakage decreases sharply, the bolts should be loosened immediately and the above process repeated.

Second, daily maintenance

1, regularly check the pump outlet pressure.

2, regularly check the pump bearing temperature and vibration conditions.

3, check the seal leakage and bolt tightening.

4, sealing pressure should be higher than the pressure of the sealing chamber 0.05 ~ 0.1MPa.

5, pump abnormal sound or overheating, stop the pump inspection.

Third, common faults and its treatment

Screw pump common faults, causes of failure and treatment methods are shown in Table 1.
